Richard Ziglar is the project director for Zydeco Nation. As an independent radio producer, Ziglar’s work has aired nationally through independent distribution, on AARP Prime Time Radio, and on the American Public Media show The Story. He has also produced work for AARP.org, Oprah’s Harpo Productions, Duke University and the North Carolina Arts Council.
During 2010 Ziglar and Yeoman produced two major radio documentaries. Both of these radio documentaries are about aging blues artists in the South. The first, Truckin’ My Blues Away, looks at artists who receive support from Music Maker Relief Foundation. The second, Still Singing the Blues, focuses on New Orleans and South Louisiana blues.
