Coming to Alabama
WJAB 90.9 FM, a non-commercial, professionally staffed station in Huntsville, Alabama, will air Zydeco Nation several times in the coming week beginning today at 12 noon. It will be featured during the show “Blues at Noon.”
Located at Alabama A&M University, a historically black campus, WJAB has a format that leans heavily toward blues, jazz, and gospel. It also airs music from around the world and the NPR program News & Notes.
The documentary will be rebroadcast tomorrow, Feb. 23 during its “Talking the Blues” program (7 p.m.), and again Saturday, Feb. 25 during “Roots Box” (7 a.m.).
Update: WJAB has added a fourth broadcast on Monday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m.
